Sunnyside Restaurant in Hyannis

This place is surely one of the coolest place in the area. Always when I come to this place I am very pleased. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of dishes they give. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Very recommended.

Perfect American diner. For lobster rolls or eggs with a cast of regulars. An authentic slice of America. Good food. Good prices. Good service.

Dropping into Sunnyside resembles showing up at a large family gathering - you generally savor the experience but expect a bit of letdown, too. Yet, for diner classics at good value, served fresh by attentive waitstaff, Sunnyside does well. On a recent visit, for example, servers excelled offering small things that really enhance a dining experience: abundant coffee refills, ice water and kindness (which must be hard to always demonstrate serving others😌). The interior also presents a cozy rustic, retro feel - including the radio music- like rural New England circa 1975. But alas, one almost senses Sunnyside is stuck IN that era. A l'il more attention to upkeep & cleanliness (especially the men's bathroom) would easily dispel any clouds in Sunnyside - and even generate a spike in avid diners.🍀

Staff was super nice, unfortunately the tables and condiments had sticky residue on it, bathrooms were extremely dirty. I ordered the corn beef hash I should've known not to since it wasnt home made. The waffle was the greatest thing there...

Very small but good home town food

Perfectly done eggs, and toast - any way you like them! (I like my eggs, 'over-easy' - and they're not *easy* to get right, trust me!) - but Sunnyside's, are perfect, every time. And - their coffee is the best around - "New England 'Breakfast Blend"! - the standard coffee in the best cafes, here on the Cape.Breakfast is served 'all day', until closing. I would give "Sunnyside" a 5-star rating, except, that, not all of the waitress are pleasant in their demeanor, I'm sorry to say; at least, that's been my experience there, over the years. The atmosphere at Sunnyside, is cozy, unpretentious, and comfortable. The prices follow that scheme, appropriately! This is a tight-family owned and operated eatery. Their close, interpersonal relations are obvious - the father, son, and daughter even go jogging together in the afternoons, daily! That's a rare thing - don't you think? Go and eat there!!

Yes their open!!! Nice family atmosphere. Real food great prices you won't be disappointed. Have to go back for lunch reminds me of the diner my Dad took me too! Ok so I went back for breakfast instead of lunch just couldn't pass up the lobstah omelette WORTH it 😉!

Old school diner feel. You can tell the benches have seen a lot of butts over the years! Despite the dates decor, the food is outstanding. Highly recommend the crab cakes benedict (or eggs Chesapeake anywhere else in the world...) Tons of crab meat, great hollindaise sauce, well seasoned...go here!

Tasty Greek Omelet! Enjoyed our breakfast here while on vacation. Had to ask a few times to get a second glass of water for the table, but service was otherwise prompt and friendly. Loved the ‘70s music on the soundtrack!

Great quality diner style food for incredibly reasonable prices, especially considering this is Main St in Hyannis! Service was very good and we loved the selection of vintage 70's music playing. Will definitely go back this trip for another breakfast. Highly recommend!

Recently had breakfast here for the first time. Our server was great. Very polite and friendly. The food however was a different story. Eggs Benedict had a broken hollandaise sauce that was oily and unpleasant. Blueberry pancakes tasted like they were from a mix and a poor one at that. I would not recommend this restaurant.

While staying in Hyannis for vacation, we ate here twice and really enjoyed our breakfast each time! The wait staff was excellent and the food was excellent. Very good home cooking. Highly recommend this if you want good food at a good price. :)

What a great menu... reasonable prices great staff and... you can get a milk shake w your breakfast or lunch!!! My daughters fav place for a wkend brkfast... Yummy.

Very disorganized. Food mediocre even for breakfast. Building small and stuffy. Say outside and there was no shade available on a bright sunny day.

We love our breakfast anywhere we go and this was a treat like we were back home. She got a hash and cheese omelette with hash browns and toast and I got a western add jalapeno and same sides. We will return . Great prices and great portions!!!

Came here on a cold November afternoon. It was quiet. With that said, lunch was excellent. Had the Sunny Special burger, and my daughter had a grilled cheese with bacon. Delicious and quick is the best way to the meal we had. Service was friendly and excellent.

I dont remember our waitresses name but shes extremely nice and she remembered us!!! She wears glasses and is such a sweet heart.
